this is a costume that is a mix of portuguese, african and islamic culture. Its from bahia (of. course/silly) and it just SHOWS how rich the whole culture is I do t know how to exacly explain it. the costumes represent the heritage of candomblé (afro-brazilian religion ill probs explain it on a different post beehee), w/the skirts and turbans being like the african alaká (a sacred! article of clothing) . this is a staple (a Big one) to the cultural diversity in brasil i n egneral. Thats all I know how to explain well :]

wanted to do smth on the megamix reading material for today so did a lil comic incorporating this reading material! I was gonna do the other karate memories (soccer ball, cooking pot etc) but i didnt have time!!! anyway i think senior chucking a live bomb at young joe during training for the first time would stick with him for the rest of his life... to me i hc that hea partially deaf in 1 ear because of it
